About Honour

Our Story

Honour was launched in 2014 in Wellington by Sue Allen, a Kiwi with a love of women’s fashion and an eye for impeccable style.

The idea behind Honour is a simple one: Honour the planet, Honour the clothing, and Honour oneself.

You are honouring the planet by purchasing beautiful, high quality pre-loved clothing (and selling yours on) and avoiding ‘fast fashion’ that will only end up in landfill. You are honouring the clothing by giving it a second life as a favourite staple in your wardrobe. And you are honouring yourself by feeling your best in gorgeous, chic clothing that lasts.

You won’t find plain black t-shirts or simple cardigans in Honour. This is the place to visit for something a little more stylish, where the entire store has been lovingly curated to the point where it doesn’t feel like a pre-loved clothing store at all.

New Zealand designers such as Trelise Cooper, Paula Ryan, Kathryn Wilson and Karen Walker are all common names amongst the displays and racks at Honour, as we love to support local. However, you may also spot international brands or unknown designers throughout the shop – half the fun is in discovering what’s new in store each week.

Sue Allen, Owner and Founder – Honour Fashion

Everyone is welcome in Honour. We cater to every style and size, and it’s the place to go whether you’re simply looking to browse or to find something truly special. And if you’re looking for a gift for a loved one, we’d be more than happy to help you shop – or provide you with an Honour gift voucher if you’re unsure.

Supporting Dress for Success

Dress for Success is a wonderful charity that supports women by helping them achieve economic independence, and a key purpose of this not-for-profit is to supply women with the clothing they need to succeed.

When garments at Honour don’t sell, and the owners don’t wish to take them back, we donate these items to Dress for Success.

We love the work they do and believe it plays a crucial role in helping women get back on their feet. We at Honour are eternally grateful to our wonderful customers. While we facilitate the donation of beautiful garments, it’s really the customers who make it possible.
